E-Flight Academy flies with 4 fully electric airplanes

E-Flight Academy was founded in May 2021 as the world's first electric flight school. Today, the sustainable flight school has 35 students and operates with as many as 4 fully electric airplanes, flying quietly and cleanly daily from Teuge Airport (near Apeldoorn). 

Only certified electric aircraft in the world

E-Flight Academy flies with aircraft of the type Pipistrel Velis Electro. This state-of-the-art two-seater, made in Slovenia, is currently the only certified electric aircraft in the world that is allowed to fly. 

Nowhere in the world is as much electric flying done as in Teuge

Worldwide, more and more flight schools and other organizations are exploring the use of electric airplanes. However, because E-Flight started using them as early as May 2021 and now operates 4 fully electric airplanes flying daily, more than 4200 electric flight movements have already been made. This puts Teuge airport ahead globally in terms of the number of electric flight movements. And still counting...
