Step into our Pipistrel Velis Electro and experience the future of flying. With 5 flights and some theory, you will have an entry in your logbook for these electric aircraft. You can fly all over the world on the Velis Electro. Or closer to home, rent our plane at Teuge and let your friends experience it as passengers too.
What exactly is the deal with that conversion?
A PPL license has always stated that one can fly with a single-engine piston (reciprocating engine). Since last year, it is also possible to obtain a class rating for electric propulsion. After successfully completing the training, the endorsement is immediately added by the instructor in your logbook. From then on, you can fly solo on the Velis. Our aircraft can also be rented. More about this soon on our site.
Theory
The theory consists of an E-learning training with a short test. Expect about 10 hours of study. We will send the details well in advance so you can start the self-study. We assume that you have completed the theory before you start the lessons.
Good to know
- For an E-conversion, you already need a valid PPL or LAPL license. A higher license such as CPL or ATPL is of course also acceptable.
- You must have a medical certificate of at least class 2.
- Please note that the MTOW (Maximum Take-Off Weight) of the Pipistrel Velis Electro is 600 kilograms. The pilot and passenger (or instructor and student) must not weigh more than 180 kilograms together. That is an average of 90 kilograms per occupant. Including clothing and other materials that are taken on board.
- The E-Conversion includes 10 landings. If you create more than 10 landings, this will be invoiced through post-calculation.
Date and time appointment
You can choose your dates and times directly when placing your order. You can also do this later. We will then send you the information and all possible dates on which you can schedule the lessons. Of course, it may happen that the weather is against us and we have to reschedule the trial lesson. We will always inform you as soon as possible.

Taking lessons on the weekend
That is possible, we are open every day. Please keep in mind that the airport charges higher landing fees for all flights from early April to late September. Therefore, this training is more expensive during this period if you want to take lessons on the weekend.
